  Why do you visit this site?

  if being one of jw's is truly behind you, why do you visit this site years later to discuss the subject ?

  i know why i do but am curious why others do and how long it will continue.

  where is this based on?which verse of the bible says that we have to follow certain rules when it comes to sex?

  Anyone been out for a long time, then for whatever reason went to a meeting or convention? What was it like to you now?

  i stopped going for a number of years the first meeting i went to on a sunday an elder saw me and ran from his car into the hall as if he'd seen the devil. later he literally pulled another elder physically away from me, who had started to talk to me. The meeting seemed more boring, (if that is possible than before) The service meeting in particularly stood out as the most boring thing ever devised by man.

  Having said that i genuinely like some of the brothers who do there best.

  Would you still be a JW, if you had to Tithe?

  the next new light from the f&ds could be the tithe for jw's.

  it's a logical corporate decision , needed to replace the lost income stream from the publishing side of the wt business.

  they know that the kh has many inactive slugs who don't contribute any $$ to the business, so this would be the best way to milk $$ from the inactive ones.

  what kind of music does an atheist have at their funeral

  yesterday was the day my family went out to the cemetary in my dad's home town to clean up the headstone and leave flowers and such.

  now this town is small and rural.

  afterwards we went back to the community center for the annual potluck.

  July 15th WT Study Article - Generation PR Fallout to Keep JW's Alert !

  after perusing through this article sent to us by our lurking jw friend- that's what i took away from this study article entitled " what jehovah's day will reveal " .

  this article was printed to keep jw's alert to the alleged urgency of the times - just in case some get puzzled by the new extended overlapping generation theory and lose their sense of urgency.

  i think the wt society is covering their backside here , doing possible damage control , and are very nervous about negative fallout in regards to how some jw's may respond to this extended " overlapping generation " theory being pushed.
